Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what information Suliit ("Suliit," "we," "us") collects about you, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to www.suliit.com and any related services we operate.

1. Information we collect

Account information you provide when you register: name, email, password (stored hashed), and, for sellers, business details and tax identifier.
Order information: what you buy, ship-to address, order status, and messages between buyer and seller about the order.
Payment information: we do not store full card numbers. Our PCI-DSS certified processor handles card data and returns tokenized identifiers to us.
Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and interaction events, collected through server logs and limited analytics.
Communications: messages you send to our support team and, for sellers, communications with buyers on the platform.

2. How we use information

To operate the marketplace: process orders, coordinate shipping, manage payouts, and support you.
To verify seller identity and prevent fraud.
To communicate with you about your account, orders, and important policy changes.
To improve our services — understanding which flows fail, what buyers search for, what listings convert.
To comply with tax, legal, and regulatory obligations (for example, IRS 1099-K reporting).

3. When we share information

With sellers, only the information needed to fulfill an order (buyer name, shipping address, and the messaging thread).
With service providers under written contracts that require them to protect your data — payment processors, cloud hosting, shipping integrations, tax reporting.
To comply with the law when required by valid legal process.
In a business transfer if Suliit is acquired or merged, subject to this policy.

Suliit does not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention

We retain account information as long as your account is active, plus a period afterward as needed for tax, legal, and dispute-resolution purposes. Order records are typically retained for seven years to satisfy tax requirements.

5. Your choices

You can update your account information from your profile.
You can request an export of your account data from your profile settings.
You can request deletion by emailing support@suliit.com. Some records must be retained for legal reasons.
You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message; transactional emails (order updates, security notices) cannot be turned off.

7. Children

Suliit is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data: TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, restricted internal access, and regular security review. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a breach affecting you, we will notify you consistent with applicable law.

9. Residents of specific states

Depending on the state you live in (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah), you may have additional rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain data uses. 10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page and, for account holders, by email.
